The perception of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure at its launch evoked
mixed reactions. It was primarily the impact of the character-laden design of
BMW’s flagship that initially seemed to divide opinions.
The BMW designers have managed to create a motorcycle so unique
that once you have seen it, you can’t get it out of your head: The R 1300 GS
Adventure can always be vividly recalled in your mind‘s eye. A key measure
of quality is its recognisability.
Even a compelling design sometimes needs time to mature and unfold its full

We were already impressed from our very first encounter by the remarkable
