The perception of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure at its launch evoked mixed reactions. It was primarily the impact of the character-laden design of BMW’s flagship that initially seemed to divide opinions.

The BMW designers have managed to create a motorcycle so unique that once you have seen it, you can’t get it out of your head: The R 1300 GS Adventure can always be vividly recalled in your mind‘s eye. A key measure of quality is its recognisability.

Even a compelling design sometimes needs time to mature and unfold its full impact.

We were already impressed from our very first encounter by the remarkable power of this Enduro in every respect.

This makes the F 900 XR the perfect choice for those who find the S 1000 XR too heavy and too performance-focused.
