This engine guard concept was also developed with maximum protection in mind. The geometry of the compact, three-part guard reliably protects the high-performance engine and the power units. It consists of a right and left guard with two mounting points each and a composite strut. The tailor-made guardrail composite fits snugly and gains additional stability and rigidity due to its stocky structure. It is solidly bolted to two selected mounting points. The moments and forces that occur in the event of a fall or rollover are thus distributed over a total of four points. This reduces the load peaks when external forces are applied. The engine guard thus reduces the risk of damage in the event of a fall or rollover.

On top: bull bar protectors
To complement the engine guard concept, we supply the engine guard with two mounted guard protectors #70211-002. They are included in the scope of delivery.

Our practical and helpful protectors are made of a resistant plastic material and reduce the risk of scratching the mudguards. They have a solid aluminium clamp and are fastened securely and reliably with four screws. The design is functional and looks noble due to the shape and surface finish.

The radiator is optimally positioned in the airstream generated during travel for optimum airflow to cool the engine. The exposed installation position also means that the delicate fins of the radiation network are also unprotected against stone strikes, foreign bodies and insects, however. Insects clog up the cooler and reduce the cooling capacity, such as fins bent by „stone impacts“. In the worst case, this can lead to leaks. With a damaged cooler, it is no longer possible to continue driving and dirt reduces the cooling capacity.

To ensure an oil cooler can deliver optimal cooling, it needs optimal air flowing through from the air flow as you ride. This is why it’s located on the bottom end of the fairing, beneath the radiator.

This has a serious disadvantage though: the oil cooler sits directly behind the front wheel and therefore right in the path of whirled up dirt, stones and foreign bodies that hit the delicate fins of the oil cooler. Dirt and insects clog up the cooler and reduce the cooling capacity, such as fins bent by „stone impacts“. In the worse case, foreign bodies with sharp edges can cause damage that lead to leaks. With a damaged cooler, it is no longer possible to continue driving and dirt reduces the cooling capacity.

This is why we recommend our oil protection grille, which consists of a fine meshed, tough and resistant stainless steel grille, to avoid damage and capture heavy dirt before it affects the oil cooler. It reliably protects the oil cooler without impacting the air flow.

If you want to carefully clean the cooler by hand, this must be done with extreme care to ensure that the radiator network doesn't get damaged. Insects and other grime which has accumulated can be easily removed with a damp cloth. We think the standard foot gear-shifter is too petite, too short and too thin in a diameter. You look for it again and again, but sometimes you hit it imprecisely and sadly your boot toe slipping is a given.

Our aluminium, cylindrical gear-shift extension, which is a whole 15 mm longer than the original, is very easily pushed over the standard lever and is firmly clamped in place.
