The DAMEN TITANO Rider's Jacket – Maximum Protection and Comfort as a System

The standout feature of the TITANO: it combines three functional layers into one system – for protection, weatherproofing, and thermal insulation. The TITANO motorcycle jacket is easily adapted to all weather and temperature conditions.

Protective Function

The outer jacket reliably fulfils the protective role and complies with the applicable standards under the AA certification according to EN 17092-3:2020 – protective clothing for motorcyclists. It impresses with tear-resistant technical fabrics like CORDURA® 500D, high-quality, durable zips, tear-resistant threads and buttons, as well as the well-thought-out arrangement of protectors and their certified protection class. Reinforcements made from leather at the shoulders and elbows provide additional cushioning and protection. Reflective materials are strategically placed, and individual adjustment options are available via straps or buttons.

Three high-tech functional fabrics are used in the protective outer jacket

1. Cordura® is an extremely durable and hard-wearing fabric. The Cordura® fabric is made from certified yarn according to INVISTA® fabric standards. DAMEN uses Cordura® 500D. Its fluorescent colours meet the EN-20471 visibility standard used in public services. Thanks to the exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, Cordura® 500D is exceptionally comfortable to wear. This excellent balance of weight and stability makes it ideal for long rides with maximum comfort.
2. Schoeller® Dynatec is an abrasion-resistant material offering excellent protection and durability. It meets the highest demands, such as those in the public sector, and offers a pleasant feel and an attractive appearance. With its high thread density, it provides optimal wear resistance. The NanoSphere coating ensures the fabric is moisture-repellent and resistant to water and dirt.
3. Hydrophobic leather is a specially treated water-repellent leather used by DAMEN in combination with Cordura® 500D. It is particularly well-suited for reinforced areas.

The DAMEN KEEP-TECH protectors offer excellent impact absorption while remaining comfortably wearable. They are standard in jackets and trousers from DAMEN motorcycle apparel and meet EN-1621-2, 2014 certification – the standard for professional motorcyclist clothing. These viscoelastic or foam protectors adjust to the body shape with body heat. Shoulder and elbow protectors are CE certified to the highest level (Level 2), as is the back protector.

Comfort Function

Flexible protection against rain and cold

1. Rain Protection
   D-TEX 3-layer lining. The D-TEX 3-layer lining developed by DAMEN is a removable waterproof membrane composed of three layers. This means the membrane is laminated on both sides for maximum durability. Although D-TEX is waterproof, the lining remains breathable and highly elastic. On warm days, it can be easily removed via zips. Opening the zipped air vents provides extra ventilation and cooling.
2. Cold Protection
   Thermal Lining. The zip-in, removable thermal lining is ideal for riding in cold conditions. It features an aluminium layer that provides excellent heat reflection, keeping body warmth in and cold air out.

Wearing Options

As a standalone protective jacket
Without the membrane jacket, the TITANO can be worn as a universal motorcycle jacket that meets all protective, comfort and visibility requirements.

Combination of protective jacket and membrane jacket
Wearing the membrane jacket underneath the protective jacket ensures waterproof protection. The outer jacket, treated against water and dirt, provides the primary protection, while the inner membrane keeps moisture at bay. This setup is ideal for changing weather conditions where changing clothes is inconvenient or impossible.

Combination of protective jacket, membrane jacket and thermal lining
Worn together, this combination provides optimal protection from cold and wet conditions. The outer jacket, treated against water and dirt, handles impact protection, while the membrane and thermal layers underneath offer insulation and weatherproofing.
