The OptiMATE 4 Quad Program Charger is a universal tool for motorcycle battery maintenance. It features automatic programmes for diagnosing, reviving, charging, and maintaining vehicle batteries. The charger can be connected directly or via one of its programmes using the 12V socket of a motorcycle equipped with a CAN-Bus system.
With the OptiMATE 4 Quad Program, the battery is automatically charged and maintained after selecting one of the 4 programmes. These modes include low-voltage revival pulses for even more effective charging of heavily discharged and sulphated batteries. Choose Program 1 or 3 to charge the battery directly or via a live 12V socket, or Program 2 or 4 for charging via a BMW CAN-Bus controlled 12V socket.
The delivery includes a weatherproof plug for the on-board socket with fuse and a set of clamps for charging outside the vehicle. The version we supply is already CAN-Bus ready and requires no adjustments.

Important Information

This charger is suitable for charging all standard motorcycle batteries.

The user manual for the charger warns against charging lithium-ion batteries. However, this refers not to motorcycle batteries but to batteries used in laptops or bicycles.
Motorcycle batteries are typically lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4), a subgroup of lithium-ion batteries, which are ideal for motorcycle use.

Background: Misleading Terminology
Manufacturers like BMW use the general term lithium-ion battery to also refer to LiFePO4 batteries, which can lead to confusion regarding the warning in the user manual.

BMW motorcycle lithium-ion batteries are LiFePO4 batteries and are compatible with suitable chargers. This charger supports LiFePO4 technology.
