The S1 HPA shock absorber is the first upgrade for riders who wish to optimise their standard suspension or replace their ageing OEM suspension with a higher-quality system. Each high-quality all-round shock absorber features damping characteristics developed specifically for the respective motorcycle model and intended use, and is primarily aimed at touring riders who generally ride with the same damping setup. With hydraulic preload adjustment (HPA).

• The shock absorbers excel through their transparent feedback: they optimise tyre-to-road contact, wheel guidance and directional stability while reducing tyre wear
• The rebound and compression adjustment allows precise fine-tuning of the damping using the supplied suspension tool
• With 18 clicks of adjustment, the damping can be precisely balanced – each click results in a perceptible change in the damping response
• To achieve optimal responsiveness,
  • nitrogen and damping oil are separated inside the shock body by a floating piston,
  • we use large-diameter pistons (46 mm) to minimise oil flow resistance,
  • and low-friction seals
• The generously dimensioned oil volume ensures
  • optimal oil operating temperature,
  • stable damping performance,
  • and extended service life for both the damper and the oil

• Spring characteristics and preload
• Hydraulic preload: the shock absorber is equipped with a sealed, extremely robust hydraulic preload adjustment. The preload is adjusted conveniently via an easily accessible handwheel.
