- The respective rear, free end of the original engine protection bar on the right and left has no support against the frame, making it the Achilles heel of the protection bar
- These reinforcement struts eliminate this weak point, support the engine protection bar and optimise the rigidity of the entire tube assembly
- They prevent the engine protection bar from yielding, reduce the risk of damage to the engine and components, and reduce the risk of costly consequential damage
- The forces and moments acting on the bar are distributed to an additional mounting point on both the right and left side
- The additional mounting points thus help to dissipate force and moment peaks
- The shape of the reinforcement struts also contributes to the elastic dissipation of load peaks

The rear, free ends of original engine protection bars usually have no support against the frame. This is also the case with the VOGE. They therefore represent the Achilles heel of the engine protection bar. In the event of a fall or tip-over, they can give way elastically or, under high stress, even plastically, because the forces and moments are not transferred directly into the frame and supported there. There is a risk that, for example, the engine and components may be affected and damaged.
Our reinforcement struts made from precision stainless steel tubing with a tube diameter of 25 millimetres support, reinforce and perfect the original engine protection bar very effectively.

Smart connecting elements connect the reinforcement struts and the respective rear, free end of the engine protection bar to the frame. This means that the forces acting on the bar are additionally absorbed via the bar and transferred into the frame structure at the appropriate point. This measure therefore prevents the engine protection bar from yielding. At the same time, it provides additional rigidity in the entire tube assembly, while being structurally designed to ensure the elastic dissipation of load peaks. On top of this, the reinforcement struts reduce the risk to the rider’s lower legs, ankles and feet. The surfaces are glass bead blasted and electropolished. As a result, the reinforcement integrates discreetly and perfectly into the design of the original engine protection bar.
