Facts and product features of the Wunderlich Suspension powered by TracTive S4 shock absorbers
High-performance shock absorber of the latest generation as an upgrade or replacement for the standard suspension. Developed to meet the high demands of discerning adventure riders who frequently ride off-road, touring riders who regularly travel with heavy loads, and riders who want additional safety reserves. With PDS anti-bottoming system and manual preload adjustment.
We select the spring rate individually based on your personal riding profile specifications.
- Damping characteristics
- Our shock absorbers are specifically developed for each vehicle and intended use, offering high performance and impressive reserves.
- The balanced and sensitive damping response of our suspension components ensures neutral and predictable handling, supporting rider confidence and enhancing riding pleasure.
- The shocks impress with their excellent, transparent feedback – they optimise tyre-to-road contact, wheel guidance, and directional stability while reducing tyre wear.
- The rebound and compression adjustment allows for fine individual tuning of the damping using the suspension tool.
- With 18 clicks of adjustment, the damping can be individually balanced, with each click producing a noticeable change in the damping response.
- To achieve an optimal, sensitive response:
- the oil channels are generously dimensioned to minimise oil flow resistance,
- we use large-diameter pistons (46 mm),
- and low-friction seals combined with specially tuned shim stacks.
- The closed shock absorber features an external forged aluminium reservoir that improves thermal stability and performance through optimal heat dissipation.
- The generous oil volume and large cooling surface ensure:
- a consistently low and optimal oil operating temperature,
- stable damping performance at the highest level,
- and extended service life of both the damper and oil.
- Spring characteristics and preload adjustment
- Manual spring preload: The preload can be adjusted using the supplied suspension tool.
- The wide adjustment range compensates for a large variety of load conditions.
- Tuning
- Special Wunderlich Suspension tuning for adventure and touring riders with high demands on their suspension setup.
- Individualisation
- We select the spring rate individually based on your personal riding profile specifications: after selecting your shock absorber, you simply specify your individual parameters during the ordering process – these form the basis for our spring selection to suit you perfectly.

- Each shock absorber can be fully serviced by specialists at the Wunderlich Suspension Center.
- The suspension tool is included in the scope of delivery.
